position that joe biden is in. i don't think she has wholly given up the possibility that she will be the presidential nominee. if she had it her way it would be... it comes from a deep, dark and festering place of personal frustration projected on the country and that's a little bit of what you saw from her more recently. >> jesse: the debate is debatable. people say biden shouldn't do it , biden says he may do it, i don't even know whether to believe that. if you say even biden not -- might not be the nominee. does he debate donald trump? >> i think he has no choice but to now. maybe his advisors were recoiling as he put his foot in his mouth but is now committed to doing that. donald trump said he wouldn't debate. imagine what the media reaction and the public reaction would be we should not be in the habit of coddling one of these presidential candidates versus
5:13 pm
the other. that's effectively what's happening. you've got two men running against each other for u.s. president and yet the media and the public is coddling one of them because he is effectively unfortunately off the rocker and has lost his mental faculties. i don't think the president of the united states should be in a position to be coddled by the media and the public. we are talking about the commander-in-chief leaving this country in a moment where we are closer to world war iii and we've any -- than we've ever been in any of our lifetimes. this is not a moment for the remedial treatment of the u.s. president. maybe it's elder abuse. the guy shouldn't be running for u.s. president and shouldn't be that u.s. president. if you can't debate and face off against donald, he certainly cannot face off against china and that's what at stake in the united states. >> jesse: one guy's being coddled, the other one being prosecuted. you heard donald trump say the left is not happy. do you feel the same way? i've seen it.

>> i think they are fundamentally unhappy. i say this in a way that's not critical especially of younger people who think of themselves as progressives. i think what we need is actually real sympathies. many of them are suffering from mental health and this is. many are suffering from a loss of purpose in this country. so many young people showing up on these college campuses at columbia and elsewhere. they don't know what they are protesting for, they are lost. air hundred to be part of something bigger than themselves that they can't even answer what it means to be an american today. so i see this as an opportunity for the conservative movement and i think donald trump is going to be well-positioned to do it to say this is what it means to be an american. this is what it means to be a citizen of this country. unit they are looking for something bigger, you've got it right here at home in the united states of america. i think if we has republicans can level up, not just criticizing biden, we've done that. we have to do some of that. to level up and also say this is who we are and what we stand for as americans, i think we can give many of those depressed,
