they say seven victims are in stable condition and one victim a ninth victim was treated on scene. right here you're looking at an aerial view of the attack scene. this morning an alert was issued for an active shooter on campus shortly before nine o'clock the alert said "active shooter on campus run hide fight" a student nearby calls the scene very hectic. let's take a listen.. it's very hectic right here right now there's like 40 cop cars everyone is very frantic and all again the ohio state has lifted their lockdown. we will keep you updated as this breaking news develops. switching gears for a bit, lets check in with rachael peart for a look at our forecast. from the kwwl stormtrack 7 weather team. see the screen for your complete weather information.

police responded to allen hospital last night around seven for a report of a person who'd been shot. officers tell us the victim is 17 years old and he is expected to survive. they believe the shooting happened in the 7-hundred block of kern street. at this point, no arrests have been made. waterloo police say a driver must have been going pretty fast when she hit this sign in the crossroads mall parking lot. witnesses tell kwwl -- they believe she might have been suffering a crash. first responders were called to help -- no word on her condition. new at noon: a former teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student - is no longer facing a felony charge. mary beth haglin--formally waving her right to a jury trial this morning--haglin's trial was originally scheduled to start today-- instead she says the judge should decide whether she is guilty--not a jury. she now facing an aggravated misdeameanor which carries a

police say they received reports of an erratic-moving vehicle just north of toronto. the driver was driving at half speed limit but as police tried to pull him over, he attempted to get away sometimes reaching speed close to 75 miles per hour. the police eventually were able to box the car in and bring it to a rolling stop. wheel. we got multiple calls from witnesses calling in this vehicle all over the highway... witnesses were actually trying to flash the car.. trying to get their attention." officers said the boy told them he just finished playing "grand theft auto" at home and wanted meanwhile, a car slams into a convenience store. take a look.. police in californiaa say the driver's brakes became stuck... causing her to crash into the building. luckily, the store was closed at the time of the crash and no one got hurt. in colorado -- a state trooper is killed after being hit while helping a

state patrol for 11 years. a procession of law enforcement vehicles took his body away. along the way, a group of officers stood at attention to pay their respects. they say this tragedy serves as an important reminder of the dangers they face everyday. the suspect faces multiple charges including murder. a visitation will be held on wednesday. as dakota access pipeline protests continue - the army corps announcing it will not forcibly remove protestors in north dakota. the army telling tribal leaders friday that federal land will be closed to the public starting next week dur to safety concerns. the land to be closed includes the main protest camp. in a statement this weekend -- the army says its seeking a peaceful transition to a s l a march was held in washington d-c this weekend to support the dakota pipeline protesters. several activists holding a slow- moving "water is life" march. as they spoke out against the treatment of the protesters in north dakota.. a theme park is apologizing for freezing 5- thousand fish in a skating rink. the park in japan was forced to close the attraction this weekend after public backlash. the special winter attraction

auditioning to join the best. hundreds of people are in eastern iowa, auditioning to be a part of a world class drum corps -- the dubuque colts. people coming from as far as the netherlands. "in europe the level of drum you have the camps, you move in and tour for about three months, so you'll be doing drum corps everyday. from the morning to the evening then go to bed." they will hear back on wednesday then the group starts rehearsing and touring the country. it has been known to rain hats on the ice in the world of hockey, but how about a shower of stuffed animals??? a canadian hockey team has an annual teddy bear toss to benefit charity. more than 17- thousand fans tossed just under 24-thousand stuffed animals onto the ice. they will go to 60 nearby charities.
